Free taster sessions for potential new members
As an introduction to the club, WVCC offers potential members a free taster session. At all taster sessions, coaches & experienced paddlers will be on hand to tell you more about the club and its facilities, advise you about training courses and provide safety cover whilst you are on the water.
Between November 2017 and April 2018 the taster sessions will take place on Sunday evenings, two or three times a month. These sessions are also attended by people who are already members of the club.
The taster sessions take place at Archbishop Sancroft High School, 9 Wildeness Lane, Harleston IP20 9DD.
It is essential that you book in advance for this free taster session.
We will provide kayaks and all the equipment you will need. You need to bring clothes suitable to go paddling (e.g a T shirt and swimwear) along with a towel and dry clothes for when you come off the water. There are changing room facilities at the pool.
Although the taster session is not designed to be formal coaching session, our coaches will help you get started, discuss what you want to do and supervise you whilst you are on the water and offer advice where necessary.
As a potential new member you may attend one free taster session to see if the club offers what you are looking for. Thereafter we will invite you to become a club member should you wish to continue using the club's facilities, attend pool sessions and participate in our training courses.
Places for the free taster sessions must be pre-booked by clicking on the Registerbutton above and completing the booking form.
Please do not attend unless you have booked your place in advance. You will not be able to paddle.
If you are subsequently unable to attend please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org), so we can save our volunteer coaches the inconvenience of turning up unnecessarily.
