Hello Members of Waveney Canoe Club,
Pinnacle event of the season, Cardington White Water Course.
This years event will be taking place from Friday 6th July till Sunday 8th July. Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. It will provide you with a chance to apply, and hone the skills you have been developing this season, on an artificial course.
The course is put together by a team of 'highly skilled water-rats'. These 'water-rats' ensure that the course provides a suitable challenge for your first taste of whitewater. They will often be found changing things along the course, to keep you on your toes - so feel free to come in and help.
If you're feeling nervous or brave let us know and we will take you down in the infamous double.
Along the course there will be spotters to ensure that you are able to navigate down the course with ease. Whilst, also pushing you to try things that you never thought you could do.
During the evenings it's a chance to kick back and tell others about your days daring deeds, as well as joining in a range of games.
If this hasn't wetted your appetite or you are still unsure whether you're up to the challenge, please speak to any of the instructors to put your mind at ease.
I highly recommend you attend for at least one day. You won't regret it.
I will update you with prices for paddling and camping. This is charged at a daily rate for members and non-members. It covers the cost of us renting the course and a set of blue boxes to enable us go to the toilet.
