Please read all the details below before registering to do the course.
The British Canoeing PaddlePower Passport is for paddlers under 14 years of age. The course is designed to develop basic paddlesport skills on sheltered water. The award recognises the level participants would typically reach after six hours of quality time paddling in this environment.
The course will be held on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 June at the Riverside Centre in Bungay. We appreciate participants arriving by 9.30am and the course will finish around 4.30pm. Please bring a packed lunch with you along with drinks for the day.
Candidates must be water confident, and ideally should be able to swim (this is desirable but not essential).
Participants may use their own equipment (boat, paddle, personal safety equipment etc.). Alternatively you can use the club’s boats, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets. The club does not supply wet or dry suits, boots/shoes, cagoules or other clothing: so you need to come suitably dressed to go on the water in whatever weather conditions prevail.
