This event is in the past.
We are pleased to let you know that we are going to be able to do pool sessions this year albeit with some extra measures in place. You will need to confirm that you have no symptoms of Covid 19 and if you have any symptoms within the following 14 days, you will need to let us know.
There are limited places in the pool so invites to each session will be sent out so that members can book places. If for some reason you are not able to make a session, please let us know so that we can release your place for somebody else.
Pool sessions are particularly good to learn/practise in a warm environment
· capsizes with and without a spray deck
· aided rescue ie with another boat assisting
· paddle skills
If fully booked, you will be asked to rotate during the hour session.
Access to the changing rooms is limited. You will need to arrive pool ready and leave outer layers at the side of the pool.
As soon as you have finished your session, you can use the changing rooms but please ensure you limit the numbers so that you can maintain 2m distancing. Or use the pool side if you can. We need to ensure we have finished, which includes changing and leaving the building, by the end of the hour.
Only the pool side toilet is to be used, not the ones in the changing rooms. Showers are not available.
All necessary equipment is available as always at the pool. You are able to bring your own safety helmet and buoyancy aid, spray deck and paddle but please ensure that there is no Covid risk from this equipment ie sanitised or quarantined.
Please follow all other instructions from the coaches to ensure that the session is Covid safe.
